Evidence-based Teaching: What is it and How Can it Improve Teaching and Learning in my Classroom?

Incorporating evidence-based teaching practices can provide valuable information to an instructor on student learning. Participants will learn about current evidence-based teaching projects at UTA and discuss and share realistic ideas for implementing course redesigns or conducting research on teaching and learning.

Guest Speaker: Robin Sullivan, Online Learning Specialist, University of Buffalo, State University of New York, Center for Educational Innovation

Attendees will participate in a CIRTL Network webinar and engage with local attendees to share experiences and explore real-world possibilities for teaching with technology. The webinar will address how technology can help us increase teaching effectiveness and student learning. Additionally, it will introduce participants to a variety of digital tools to engage students in learning. Examples of digital tools are blogs and wikis, collaborative space, audio-video, social media, and mobile applications.
