2nd MOOC Event Session Today

Reminder: CIRTL UTA MOOC Event
This is a reminder that today we will be the second MOOC session regarding “An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching“. The event will be hosted in room 485 in Pickard Hall, starting at 11:30AM.

CIRTL’s introductory MOOC, An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching, runs June 13 through August 6. Students will learn about a broad range of evidence-based STEM teaching techniques, including: principles of learning, designing learning objectives, assessing student learning, the benefits of active learning, inclusive teaching approaches, and lesson planning.
Every Tuesday starting June 13th (June 13, June 20, July 7, July 11, July 18, & July 25) for six weeks from 11:30-12:30PM in Pickard Hall 485

The CIRTL Network: Forty-six research universities that produce one-third of U.S. doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields now are members of the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL), established in 2003 with support from the National Science Foundation to improve teaching skills and increase the diversity of future STEM university faculty members. The CIRTL mission is to enhance excellence in undergraduate education through the development of faculty committed to implementing and advancing effective teaching practices for diverse learners as part of successful and varied professional careers.
